What is Netart? Response

Net art and art on the net are two dramatically different entities. Art on the net is merely a documentation of resources for distribution or sale most commonly, while Netart is art created exclusively on and related to the Internet. Most commonly netart functions as a collective effort by more than one group and is often interactive based. Netart is viewed as a relatively new form of artistic medium that has grown at an accelerated pace as technologies become more readily available as do the means to interact with the medium. Therefore Netart is in a constant state of change, adapting to new trends and templates, infiltrating the Internet, posing as legitimate sites and generally poking fun at the masses who fall victim to their trickster ways.
